The smoke rises. An orange glow is all you can see. A sweet smell of strawberries. I reach out to it. My finger touches the color of the sunset. My skin quickly blisters. Soon I bleed... Putting out the sunset. There is nothing but darkness. The scent of strawberries is gone. The bloods smell is strong. The pain surges through my viens. I quickly grab a piece of ice. The Story Of A Dying BookI started a story. It had the makings of a great book. Love, death, birth, loss, forgiveness, and sensuality. Alas no one ever reads. Books have died. You watch your books. In theaters, in your den. You listen to them. On tape in your car. Read by someone famous man or woman. Rarely read by the authors themselves. I finished my book just today. No one will read it. No reason to publish it. No reason to even make a final draft. Maybe I should write a screenplay. Hire some actor to record my story. Books have died. So much has been lost.The Story Of A Dying Book
